DUI / DWI Insurance Penalties
An overview of the insurance penalties posted by Florida DUI lawyer / attorney:
Insurance Penalties for DUI: What are they? *
Andrew Parks, your resource for a Florida DUI Attorney / Lawyer, wants you to know what you're facing with the current insurance penalties for DUI convictions.
When convicted of a DUI, your insurance company will be required to file a form SR-22 (future proof of insurance) for at least 3 years. When your insurance company receives notice of your DUI conviction, they will most likely increase your rates, and could cancel your policy mid-term, or at the end of your term.
If your insurance is cancelled because of your DUI conviction, you will not be able to lift the suspension on your license. You will need to find another insurer and the cancellation will appear on your insurance claims history.
